The Masons Arms is an 18th century, St Austell Brewery, public house located in the heart of Camelford with a public bar and separate restaurant. It also offers a beer garden which backs onto the River Camel.

Jo Old has been running the business for nearly 20 years and bring a great mix of good, home cooked food and a proper Cornish welcome.

As well as serving some of Cornwall's best ales, The Masons Arms offers a great selection of homemade specials, including vegetarian, local fish and seafood. We are able to cater for special dietary requirements, if requested in advance. You will also find a tantalising selection of desserts.

At the Masons Arms we offer a warm, friendly welcome and our staff are on hand to assist with your requirements. We are family friendly and offer a childrens menu or smaller portions of some meals may be possible. Please feel free to ask any member of staff. We also welcome well behaved dogs on leads.

The cosy bar area has an array of history, pool table and darts board. The decoration in the restaurant is a must-see with a collection of china cups, bottles and memorabilia.

“Very welcoming and excellent food”

We were in Camelford yesterday on a cold wet day with our dog, We asked if dogs were allowed in and to our surprise our dog was welcome, The lady landlady was so welcoming and the whole atmosphere of the pub was warm and welcoming. I had the Sunday Roast Lamb dinner which was huge and the lamb was amazing (later found out the landlady rears her own sheep and the are used in the restaurant which really showed in the lovely taste of the lamb. My husband had the Cajun Chicken which was a large meal but no as large as my Sunday roast. After our meal which we thought very reasonably priced we asked directions to the river walk and this was freely given. I would most certainly go back and have no problem with recommending this pub to any passing by well worth a visit. We are going to visit Hawaii later this year and we asked if we could take some video of the inside of the pub and its really oldie worldie and they were very happy for us to do so.

We had a very good meal, we were staying locally on a golf trip(2 couples) called in for an early meal, good sized portions, good selection of home cooked choices. Very friendly staff and hostess as very chatty and funny
